Appreciation

Yesterday was a question day.

#89:  What do you appreciate most about your current situation?

The thing I appreciate most is having goals to reach and taking baby steps to get to them.

There is a lot of negative and disturbing things going on in the real world.  A lot of what is going on is painful and there are lots of ways to help out, get your voice heard, and acknowledge all the negative things going on.  I want to address this once, though:  I highly disagree with him and his policies.  He is not good for us, he is not good for the world, and hopefully, people will wake up and realize why he isn’t good for anyone.  Socialism and fascism are real and will destroy America as we know it if he continues with his policies.

I could rant but that’s not the point of this blog.  This blog is about goals and working towards them.

So I appreciate that I can mention this here and then move past it.  I appreciate that I can mark goals off my list.  I appreciate that I have people I can share my goals with, both in person and online.

I appreciate that I have a great family and awesome friends who push me to do more than I am always comfortable with.

But mostly, I just appreciate that I have a great life that is different from where I was when I started this project back in May 2012 (pre-blog).  I was frustrated, depressed, lost, and tired.  Now, I have a very different life that sometimes I ask myself if I am really the same person.

Here’s to the rest of the year.

Listening to:  The Thief’s Daughter by Jeff Wheeler

Reading:  The Thief’s Daughter by Jeff Wheeler and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child by J.K. Rowling.

Quote of the Day:  “Make it a habit to tell people thank you. To express your appreciation, sincerely and without the expectation of anything in return. Truly appreciate those around you, and you’ll soon find many others around you. Truly appreciate life, and you’ll find that you have more of it.”― Ralph Marston
